What a great weekend in Boston. The La Parca crew did double event duty chillin at the Open Up and Bleed opening reception at Orchard Skateshop before heading downtown to the Good Life for Fresh Produce‘s 6th Anniversary party with special guest DJ 9th Wonder. Good times all around. Yeah anyway, big shout out to everyone we ran into last night and enjoy this new ScHoolboy Q video, I’m out.
The time for expansion has come. I’m looking for a few people to help spread La Parca across the US. Let’s talk! – email@example.com
I usually have a strict no-go policy regarding compilations and producer albums, but ALC is one of the few people I make the exception for. This album is dope front to back. It’s an aural journey of obscure trippy samples with features from every relevant rapper to come out in the last 2 years (just go through some posts on our blog), plus some vets (Evidence, Big Twinz).
Here’s a couple choice cuts
And now for an official word from FP founder DJ Knife:
Our signature party Fresh Produce turns 6 years old this month!
Thanks to each and every one of you for your support over the years! It takes a lot of people to make this party as special as it is each and every month.
To celebrate, We’re flying in 9th Wonder to spin a special set!
For those who don’t know, 9th Wonder is the man who produced the classic Little Brother albums and has worked with countless talents from Erykah Badu and Mary J. Blige to Drake, Jay Z and Lil Wayne.
Hosted by founding and resident DJs Tommee and Knife and Boston-based web sites’ undergroundhiphop.com and jumptheturnstyle.com, Fresh Produce combines forces on the last Saturday of each month, inviting DJs and producers from across the country.
The music is a mixture of new and old hip hop, reggae and party jams, with plenty of turntablism-style scratching, beat juggling and near flawless mixing
So yeah all that aside, this is a super special celebration for us and we plan to make it a night to remember. Plus DJ Evaredy will be holding down the decks as well and our friends from La Parca will be in attendance too. See y’all soon!”
This song goes hard. Subject wise, it’s nothing you haven’t heard a million times, but these guys put it down. The beat is dope and the chorus reminds me of some older Clipse. I also like that these guys are rocking a ton of jewelry with no record deal, pushing a Cadillac, and showing off gang affiliations in the video. Keep it 100!
Props to The Fader on this one
From the desk of DJ Knife aka Deff Jeff:
“Hoping to make Fresh Produce this Saturday equal parts Chief Keef & Barry Manilow. This is our first summertime throw down/up and Patron XO shots will be fired down your throat when we see you. Definitely gonna get ignorant. DJ Fashen in from the West Coast. Apt One will be gracing both the turntables and the based couch at Gucci Manor. Have you ever been to Good Life? It’s located at 28 Kingston Street in Boston. They got this here web site: www.goodlifebar.com. We’re all gonna be there/square Saturday night. #Crazy.”
And there you have it folks. See you Saturday!

The 1216 Pullover Hooded Sweatshirt is one of my favorite items we’ve done to date. This is mid weight cotton fleece that is PERFECT for Spring, Fall and late nights on the beach in the Summer. I’ve been rocking this nightly for the past few weeks but also layered it under my goose down earlier in the year.
Besides the technical aspects, the 1216 is the perfect color of classic grey you want in a pull over. The teal/white print pops lovely and the small details bring this one together.
I’m holding onto a couple of these for myself but you can still get one here
