OFF! Full Length LP announced!!!
Finally! A full length OFF! record!!! <– That’s an awful lot of exclamation marks, huh?
May 8th is the release date. 16 tracks this time around. Once again, released via Vice Records. Once again, artwork provided by Mr. Raymond Pettibon. Lovely. DEFINITELY looking forward to this jammy. If it’s half as good as their previous EPs from 2010, I’ll be 100% satisfied. OK, maybe more like 75% satisfied. Whatever.
I was lucky enough to catch OFF! opening for Dinosaur Jr here in town(Boston) last year. Looks like the closest place they are playing anytime soon is New York. Perhaps I’ll make the trek down.
Side Note: I honestly prefer Off! to Circle Jerks. Send complaints to: yourself@hater.com.

Dino Jr/Western MA
Recovering from a trip to Western Massachusetts and two LOUD Dinosaur Jr shows.
TUESDAY:
Did some successful record shopping in Amherst(mystery train) and Northampton(feeding tube, turn it up!). Had a chat with a shopper at Feeding Tube Records named Henry Rollins. He was a lovely gentleman.
Had a turkey burger and a micro-brewed root beer at a spot called Local Burger in Northampton. Good stuff.
Show #1 was at the Calvin Theatre in Northampton. Local boy Thurston Moore(Sonic Youth) opened and Rollins did an entertaining half hour spoken word set before interviewing Dinosaur.
Next(and final) stop of the day was Antonio’s Pizza in Amherst for some late night grindage. Hungry Eddy approved.
WEDNESDAY:
Rested up for a few AM hours at a friend’s parents house deep in the woods of Templeton before breakfasting at the Blue Moon Diner(amazing pancakes) in Gardner.
Home sweet home! Grabbed a few slices at T. Anthony’s(classic) before show #2 at the Paradise. This time around OFF!(Keith Morris) opened. They were fantastic. Good times! Big ups to Zoe for all the driving and Oscar for the crash-pad.
